FEATURE:
A Visit With Jimi
by Mike Todd

I recently traveled to a well known haven of rock: Seattle, Washington.

While visiting a local software giant on a business venture, I wandered into Greenwood Memorial Park located in Renton, part of Seattle Suburbia.  There, I viewed the Jimi Hendrix Memorial.

The experience was certainly no match for being “experienced,” but I was able to respectfully pay dues at Hendrix’s gravesite under a blue sky (and in absence of any haze, including purple).

The seriousness of the impression left on me by my visit caused me to reflect upon the sizeable impact that Jimi’s guitar playing had on modern music.  Appreciation of what has – and what could have - been has left an obvious mark on the hearts, souls, and minds of thousands of music enthusiasts worldwide.
